Assistant Supply Chain Officer

Our Client is a global generic pharmaceutical industry that specialises in the development and manufacture of both APIs and FDFs.

In Malta, for over 20 years, they have two factories, located side-by-side, in the Hal Far Industrial Estate, holding EU GMP certification and US FDA approval.

They are looking for an Assistant Supply Chain Officer for their solid FDF production site. The selected candidate will report to the Quality Management Manager.


Responsabilities:
 

Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential suppliers as needed.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Ensure supplier documents are updated regularly in SAP.
  • Verify prices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Address and resolve supplier-related issues, such as delays or quality concerns.
  • Escalate significant issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Support system deviations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepare and submit requested reports.
  • Monitor workflows in SAP and ensure purchasing information records are updated promptly.
Non-Stock Purchasing:
  • Issue non-stock purchase orders based on templates or quotations.
  • Confirm and process goods receipts accurately and efficiently.
Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) Management:
  • Issue purchase orders for CMOs.
  • Process goods receipts upon confirmation of delivery.
  • Attach necessary supporting documents to the goods receipts.
 Requirements: 
  • A diploma or advanced-level education, preferably with experience in supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written); knowledge of Maltese is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both documentation and communication.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and SAP, is advantageous.
  • Excel at multi-tasking and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Display confidence, proactiveness, and a highly organised approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain department and liaise effectively with other departments to ensure smooth communication.
  • Be results-oriented with attention to Detail.
Package:
  • Salary: €26,000-28,000 with annual salary review at end of each year
  • Annual Performance bonus at a maximum of 5% of annual gross salary
