Assistant Production Manager

Our Client is a global generic pharmaceutical industry that specialises in the development and manufacture of both APIs and FDFs.
In Malta, for over 20 years, they have two factories, located side-by-side, in the Hal Far Industrial Estate, holding EU GMP certification and US FDA approval.
They are looking for an Assistant Production Manager for their API production site, to work closely with the API Production Manager.
Responsabilities:
- Assist in manufacturing operations in accordance with company policies and procedures (SOPs).
- Support the Production Manager (API) in achieving the goals of the API Production Department.
- Oversee cleaning validation processes.
- Ensure timely production of products, maintaining quality standards and minimizing costs, in collaboration with the Production Manager.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control department to request and utilize analyses of raw materials and products essential for production processes.
- Manage external personnel assisting with production tasks.
- Evaluate scientific data generated from departmental operations.
- Participate in deviation investigations and root cause analysis.
- Manage projects and lead teams effectively.
Requirements:
Package:
- University Degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science, ideally with a postgraduation in Management and previous experience in management position.
- Minimum of three years' experience in a production or GMP environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in computer literacy, with a good command of MS Office applications.
- Skilled in people management.
- Motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Confident and proactive in performing duties.
Package:
- Salary: €35,000-43,000 with annual salary review at end of each year
